Abstract:
»Der Beitrag diskutiert geschlechtsspezifische Gewaltpraktiken in bewaffneten Konflikten des 20. Jahrhunderts. Dabei wird sexuelle Gewalt als Manifestation von Macht begriffen, die in einer spezifischen Machtdynamik zum Ausdruck kommt. Die Erforschung solcher kontextbezogenen Machtverhältnisse hilft bei der kritischen Aufarbeitung der Erfahrung von Betroffenen während und nach einem Konflikt, aber auch der kollektiven Erinnerung bzw. Verdrängung in Gesellschaft wie Geschichtsschreibung.«
